Courtesy of Soza Considering that both my parents were once campus students, it was a matter of me working hard in my high school to joining a campus of my choice. As a girl child from an Islamic family and the oldest in the family of three, my parents wouldn’t allow me going to another province for my University. It was a dream come true going to a university in a far a way province. Luckily I was placed in Umma University Kajiado Campus but unfortunately it was a “no go zone”. After a long debate with my parents of which university in my province will they want me to land in to, my great uncle gave a suggestion of The Technical University of Mombasa . I didn’t have a say about it. Anyway, the Sky is a limit and in any university I can get my papers. Ooh yeah! It is a beginning of a new chapter of life as an independent lady. Free to be whoever I want and go wherever I want. As a freshman at TUM under the impression that with such freedom and lack of restriction,...
