CAN IT BE POSSIBLE?

It has now been 58 years since Kenya attained
independent but we Kenyans are still struggling over the economy because of business
challenges that continues to prevail in the country.
According the International Trade Administration,
there are three key challenges affecting the Kenyans economy that are;
Corruption and weak governance, Weakened consumer spending and Lower public investment
and fiscal austerity.
Kenya ranked number 128 out of 180 countries being
most corrupt worldwide. The most affected areas are land dealings and large government
contracts. Obtaining a tittle dead for your land is potentially fraught with
the legal competitions. This has reduced the borrowing capacity of families’ and
businesses. Hindering Kenya’s ability to expand its level of capital.

Kenya has to achieve maximum productivity by making the best use of resources. A good example of useful resource is the youth and there productivity is a 100% legit potential in the increase of the economy. This is because of their high population of about 70% of Kenya’s population while about a three quarter of the 70% of youths are unemployed making Kenya an unsecure country.
How do the unemployed youths sustain their daily lives?
This is a serious question for the government.
However, thanks to the Kenya Kwanza Government, for recently
launching a program dubbed The Kenya Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship. A youth
prioritizing program that aims towards creating jobs for the youths. The
government has done this one long step in order to enable the economy be stable.
Well, the program cannot be a solution of unemployment if the youths lack
skills and knowledge or lacking innovative ideas.
Youths however engage in different activities that
affect a countries economy, which are paying taxes, making consumer choices,
saving money and designing and producing profits. With no education, action and
empowerment, youth engagement can never lead the county in special transformation
or development.
In addition, there is need for the country to create
training programs for the youths that are not only theoretical but are also practical
and experimental. In Kenya, the TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING (TVET) program has been introduced and carries
almost 5,278 thousand qualified for degree candidates. The TVET has greatly spearheaded
the universities and colleges by providing skills for innovative solutions.
Creating real programs, projects, activities and
services that promote youth engagement in the economy can radically transform
economy the youths of all ages have capacities that can build economies at the
local and international level.
Young people can be a driving force of supporting development
and contribution to a counties economy, peace and security only when they are
provided with the necessary skills and opportunities needed to reach their potential.
